A 10-Week Generative Fiction Workshop
Tuesdays, September 1 - November 3, 6:30 - 8 PM
With the goal of generating new and unexpected work each session, we’ll begin each evening with a focused appreciation of a particular element of craft, silently enjoy a slant palette cleanser to ensure our brains are fully shifted into the creative mode, then move onto the meat: The prompt. It turns out Meghan loves designing prompts that help us sneak behind some of the most common barriers within our brains in order to get fresh, surprising work on the page. Participants will spend the bulk of each session filling their pages. We’ll bid one another good evening, but we will not share our work. This work will not be ready to share. It will be ready to be privately delighted in/ wrestled with for the foreseeable future. You can workshop it later, in an actual workshop!
Each participant will be invited to share a story born in Prompt Club—when it’s ready—with Meghan privately, and receive editorial notes. That part is optional, but there for the taking.
