The Café Review
The Café Review (TCR) began publication in Fall 1989. At that time, the purpose was to print some of the poetry being read at open readings held at certain cafes in Portland, Maine. In 1993, The Café Review shifted from being a monthly publication to a quarterly journal and began to include art to accompany the poems. Twenty-five years later, The Cafe Review is still going strong, publishing quarterly hard-copy journals as well as maintaining an online archive. TCR has published a wide variety of poetry including many international poets, Pulitzer Prize winners, and many regional and Maine poets. In addition to art and poetry, TCR also publishes interviews and poetry book reviews.
