A 2-Day Online Fiction Workshop
2 Saturdays: January 10 & 17, 1 – 4 pm
What does it mean to feel “inspired to write”? Often, we put too much weight in the concept of being inspired, which can lead to being unable to start getting words on the page. In this workshop, we are going to take the leap from ideas to sentences and paragraphs. We are going to read, watch, and listen to a variety of texts, clips, and conversations, to see which ones spark an idea, or helps an idea already in the participant’s mind. This will be followed by promptly putting onto paper a line from that idea, which will be developed into further paragraphs of a short story.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have made that crucial move to getting started with their writing, and developing it to a degree.
Each session will be two hours long.
$120 Members/$175 Nonmembers
