Here at MWPA, our mission is to enrich the cultural life of Maine by supporting writers and the literary arts. Our hope is that the MWPA website will offer instructive and useful information for writers, aspiring writers, publishers, and readers throughout the state of Maine.

Please explore our site, and take special note of the "Member News" section. This is the spot where our community can share relevant and interesting news! Got a book coming out? Want to start a writing group? Feel free to post!

The site is (like anything at MWPA) a work in progress. Eventually, you can expect an instructive FAQ section, direct links to useful writing sites, and a method of renewing your membership online! Our plan is also to create a dynamic statewide calendar of events for easy access to the state's literary offerings.
